There's some difference here. When I post something gleaned elsewhere, it's generally because there's something concrete and obvious to discuss beneath it -or- it's because in responding to one of your diatribes I think it important to counterbalance with an opposing opinion.
Also, a CRITICAL distinction, is that I don't cross-post things as FACTS. I post them as opinions; that is, opening statements in a debate.
Let's look at the list you posted and compare it to the fucking lame "Torture Hurts us Too" whiny shit that started this.
The NYT criticism was valid insofar as it counterbalanced a highly subjective post. It opened the subject for debate.
The DBD cartoon was a bleeding cartoon, for Gods sake. It was not meant for serious, and not-so-serious discussion. None of the "cartoon of the day" should.
Boortz raised a good point on the 10th Amendment. One that Garrett saw and promulgated a good discussion on what the Constitution means. Sorry you couldn't be bothered to contribute. Guess there was no talking heads opinion to front, eh?
You see the difference? Can you put your leftist, kneejerk mantra aside for one second and understand that dialog requires a brain as well as a mouth?
If you feel that there are important political issues than why can't you be bothered to think about them and post those thoughts? If all you can do is repost other's tripe with no analysis than I guess it's just not that important, is it. If that's the case, you reap the scorn and ridicule I heap on you.
As to enlisting...errr...I already did that. I was in the Strategic Air Command from 1978 - 1982. I helped make sure our nuclear alert aircraft would hit the right targets and make it home safely. I don't recall whining about it afterwards nor feeling particularly macho during the fact. I do recall a sense of duty and pride in serving my country.
What all of us do here is bring thoughtful commentary to the group. We bring it because it is something we want to share and is something we'd be interested in *thoughtful* response, not just the bullshit "whine" commentary. As I've said before, the whining is justified sometimes! Just because *you*, your majesty deem it "f**king lame DOES NOT MAKE IT SO. And I resent your arrogance (no wonder you like the Republicans) at suggesting that posts YOU bring are "thoughtful" and what we bring is bullshit.

Suze, I think you missed my main point. A whine is a whine and there's simply no debating it because it's an emotional base and not a factual one. There's just no debating that and it's why you don't see me post that kind of stuff unless in the form of a "ha ha".
Not everything you and the others bring is bullshit and I have said over and over in response when something was thoughtful. I don't have to agree with it to recognize a cogent argument.
Why the snide Boortz comment? Boortz raused a GREAT point that should be of interest to any student of American government. That's a statement on your unrelenting bias that you couldn't be bothered to think about the issue. No one told you how to think and you discounted the message with the messenger.
You don't see the irony of trying to direct me to Gore's book? Again, someone else's thoughts.
Maybe I am a bully. Insofar as I have my own opinions and am forceful and unrelenting in backing them up. But...but...if your responses are based on what you can cut and paste from others and they happen to leave you hanging for a day or two that just means you can't compete and should relinquish the stage. Maybe I'm not a bully then, I'm just not in the Special Olympics and my competition against a lack of mental effort makes it appear I'm a bully.
