On December 11, 2006, WSAI's progressive talk format ended.
It relaunched that day as "1360thesource.com," still carrying a talk format but heavily programmed with advice and consumer awareness-driven shows such as Clark Howard and Dr. Laura Schlessinger.
That format lasted just six months, as WSAI went back to a sports format in July of 2007.
Today, it carries the entire ESPN Radio lineup on a 24/7 basis as an all-network sister station to WCKY.
It has not shown ANY ratings since 2006
Akron
WARF changed formats on March 30, 2007 from liberal talk to sports, using Sporting News Radio. It no longer shows up in the ratings.

Wonder why? I think they're afraid to let us see that progressive ratings did better than either the right-wing stuff or sports. And in some of these places the sports stations was, like, the 4th one in the area.. Really needed that, right?

You cannot be so blind as to understand that in such a divided country left vs right that there isn't a business case for progressive radio.

Ed Schultz mentions a web site of a product he liked and the hits crashes the website. It's happened every time!

As to radio....

Sounds like to me that you have two low-rating stations that are looking for better ratings yet remain low rated. Not uncommon.

I never said there wasn't a business model for progressive radio. It's just a much smaller audience than Rush, Hannity, Beck, etc.

Schultz has a following....yeah, I get it. I never said otherwise. But in your wildest dreams don't think he can compete with Limbaugh, Hannity, and Beck. He can't.

As to TV....

Hahahaha....you link to a COMMUNIST media site and take that as the Gospel???? Lemme go look at a non-partisan site like MediaBistro and see what we find. BRB.

Yeah, so I thought:

The next time, Suzie, try lying about something less easy to look up.

I am not a liar, Gonzo. I have never lied. I went looking for ratings because all evening people were congratulating Keith so I was trying to find out what happened.

That was the first site I saw. I have no idea if it is a "communist" web site, but even if it were, what would be your point?

Here's some additional information - Fox was way up last week because everyone wanted to see what an A$$hole O'Reilly was making of himself, but Olbermann is still making steady ground.

And I disagree about the smaller audience for progressive radio. Don't forget where Rush was for the first 10 years of his existence on radio. If a REAL business model were at work he would have never made it. But his show was underwritten at a loss for years.

OK, I apologize for calling you a liar. But you should have done better research. MediaBistro is an excellent source for cable news ratings without spin, you might want to bookmark them.

More later (interrupted)

Your new link (TV by the numbers) is good as well.

Can Olbermann catch O'Reilly? My gut tells me "no" unless Olbermann moderates himself or O'Reilly goes off the deep end.

I'm still looking at the radio numbers but I don't see anything yet to change my original reply.
