And why would the Neo-cons ever put Lieberman up unless it was window dressing on the lack-of-progress in the Israeli-Palestine conflict?
After working so hard to replace the military led Defense Department (and the Powel doctrine) with civilians, they aren't going to pass this on to a politician, let alone a Democrat.
