"I hope it's your family members that die."

Nice going, Rohrabacher.

Rohrabacher said if European countries did not cooperate with the United States and go along with whatever the Bush administration wanted, they were condemning their countrymen to death by not using extralegal methods to imprison terrorist suspects. When citizens attending the hearing, including members of Codepink Women for Peace and Veterans for Peace, heard Rohrabacher’s statement, they collectively groaned. Then, much to the shock and disbelief of everyone in the hearing room, Rorhbacker said to those who had expressed displeasure at his statements: "I hope it’s your family members that die when terrorists strike."

Hmmm....

Can you point to a transcript that's not a whussy, faggotty, and suspect blog post (I apologize in advance to my gay friends who certainly are not faggots)? Jesus, Garrett, if you didn't have two kids I'd suspect you of having no balls.

Beyond that, explain to me why I should care what the rest of the world thinks? I don't.

The world is a tough place and there are those out there who don't respect civility and the rights of man as we do. The proper way to deal with these cretins is to bitchslap them. Yalking and whining won't cut it.

That's the biggest joke I've ever heard. As we do? I don't understand what we're fighting for "over there" when we've lost civility, rule of law, habeas corpus, etc. etc.

And as for posting from other blogs - if I agree with someone and they can say it better, I'll link it. Typical of you to suggest you're going to delete links you don't like. Who died and made you king?

We're not perfect but we're a whole lot better than most places. Try sightseeing in Iran without a head scarf.

As to linking to other blogs, I just have a problem with those that can't be easily verified independently.

Gee, Gonzo, do you always refer to retired Army Reserve Colonels who served for 29 years as "faggotty"?

Someone in a comment thread transcribed the exact comment, with links to the video and approximate timestamp.

Actually. That's a misquote. He says, "But, here's the other shoe dropping, we are at war and we've got to make sure that we do not let go fifty terrorists who will go out and plant a bomb in London and kill twenty-thousand people in order to protect that one person who we arrested accidently because his name was the same. That's the type of unfortunate consequence ... Well I hope it's your families, I hope it's your families that suffer the consequences." It's essentially the same thing, except that the quote is wrong. You can watch at at C-Span at the following link at rtsp://video.c-span.org/15days/e041707_foreign2.rm His quote starts at about 1:51:00. The truth should be our priority. Don't you think?

Judging by your latest posts, objective truth (not to mention analysis) is something you don't happen to be too strong on.

Uh, right. You're so strong on objective truth, which is how you know that everything Joe Wilson says is a lie.
