The Whole Story

I love it how you left out the hysterical beginning of the article. This is dishonest and wrong. Shame on you and shame on Kos for this. If a Democrat gets elected in 08 and then fires everyone, then what? Different rules? Oh, wait, there'll be a mealy-mouthed explanation.
This crap continues, expect a very nasty 08 election. Politicians and pundits may like partisan politics but, historically, the electorate hates 'em. As we shall see.

Umm, no. Same rules. Each President chooses his own administration. Clinton hired his own USAs in '93: Bush hired his own in '01. I'm sure the same thing happened all the way back -- do you have evidence it didn't? Or are you just parroting talking points again?

Ack! So what's wrong now if this is normal??

IT'S NOT FUCKING NORMAL TO FIRE PROSECUTORS FOR NOT FUCKING UP THE OTHER PARTY! HOW MANY FUCKING TIMES DO WE HAVE TO FUCKING TELL YOU THAT?

*pant*

Oh....so it's better to fire ALL of them because they're not of the same party?

And, if Clinton and other prior Presidents fired 'em all and brought in new ones, do you think they did that to serve as principled and objective arbiters of the law?

Grow up.

So shut the fuck up about "Clinton did it" -- all of them did it, both Democrats and Republicans. It's not until Bush that they started getting fired for not prosecuting the other party.

And by the way, Gonz, I fucking hate what discussing things with you does to my use of profanity.

You are resorting to profanity, psychologically, because you are insecure about your position or - deep down - are convinced of the dishonesty of it but can't reconcile that with your gut.

Having said that, it's your conjecture that not prosecuting Democrats was the main reason they were fired; you don't KNOW that. Having quoted the Constitution on a number of occasions, Garrett, how did you conveniently put aside the whole concept of guilty until proven concept?

So, I fail to see the difference based on the facts on hand. What I see is screaming partisanship akin to monkeys throwing their own shit out their cage.

The AGs may be hired or fired at the discretion of the President. PERIOD. Dumbfuck.

NO, he's resorting to profanity because you can't get it into your thick skull that what Dubya has done IS NOT THE SAME THING!!!!!!

Jeez Gonz, you make it SOOOO easy sometimes.

I'm willing to consider that they might be innocent -- just as soon as they actually release the documents that Congress subpoenaed, without redacting the embarrassing parts.

What? The emails are lost? Aw, gee howdy, guys, sorry -- we didn't know it was a federal offense to discard Presidential Records!

Apparently, you didn't realize ending my post with "dumbfuck" was tongue-in-cheek irony. My bad; I should have been more obvious.

As to the deleted emails, I assume you're talking aout Rove?

I don't know what to make of that. I'm no Exchange expert, but don't you have to go through all sorts of hoops to delete from the email client *and* server?

Rove might be just one of those guys who anally delete all old emails after a while.

Maybe his buds were sending him too many cool pix that ate his storage space and he needed to delete old stuff to keep his "hot babe" pics in his inbox (Yes, that was sarcasm, too).

It doesn't seem very "Rove-ian" to attempt a coverup by brute email deletion. Too clumsy.

Apparently, you didn't realize that *your* contradictions are often so quick to occur -- that once seen in a single message by a person unwilling to do the research to back up the accusation jumps a bit to quick and says...

Aha!

Ya got me, and missed me at the same time.
