Micromanagement... NOT!
More of what Gonzo would call "shrill left-wing hysteria":
Sometime it takes a while for something to sink into my over taxed brain. But I finally heard Georgie in his presser with General Petraus, say that the Congress has no right to try and micro-manage the war.
He added no one should be telling the General what to do.
Uh...Excuse me, you Dim Witted Twit. One of the primary foundations of American democracy is a civilian controlled military.

I love the respectful tone the Kos bloggers take. It's so adult.
BTW, doofus maximus, the comment refers to running a specific mission, not the whole friggin' country or war. In that case, yes, the best decision is generally to get the hell out of the way and let them do what they do.
I don't recall Wilson handcuffing Pershing or Roosevelt over managing Marshall. Johnson micromanaged every stage of Vietnam and that worked out well, didn't it?
So, the "Dim Witted Twits", regrettably including YOU, are those who have no fucking clue on military affairs. Or history. Or success.
The right strategy generally *IS* to give the generals the mission, logistical support, and get the fuck out of their way.
Garrett, you know I love ya, but you can be a partisan dumbfuck.
Reading more into this, I laugh even harder. What a bunch of sophmoric children. Garrett, do yourself a favor and don't post crap like this again.
Or, wait. Go ahead and do so. So I can make fun of you some more.
"The right strategy generally *IS* to give the generals the mission, logistical support, and get the f*ck out of their way. "
Bush has done none of that - for all of the years of this fiasoc there has been no strategy, no mission and the logical support has never been up to par in the 4 years of this occupation.
Susan, I agree with you for the most part. Surprised?
Gonz, how can you agree with Susie about her Bush criticisms, but disagree with Reid trying to do something about it?
I don't disagree that Reid has a right to do whatever he feels is right. But there are things you shouldn't say publicly out of simple respect for the folks who are in harms way.
Oh, like "Bring it on"?
:-) good one.
Speaking out about this lost cause has nothing to do with respect for the troops. TRUE respect for the troops would have been to a) plan ahead, b) provide the equipment the troops need c) honor the dead and injured coming home, and d) getting the hell out of a lost cause.
Soldier: Army ordered me not to tell truth about Tillman
This has been typical of the Bush administration. It's disgusting and I bet it goes all the way to the top.
